YOGA OFFERINGS

Sojourn

from Old French sojorner — to remain, stay awhile

A temporary dwelling; a staying for a time.

Here, a practice of inhabiting the body through breath, movement, stillness, and mythopoetic listening.

To enter without knowing what will be found.
To stay with what arrives.
To move with what changes.
To leave something behind.

A sojourn belongs to the threshold: one does not remain there forever, yet one does not cross it unchanged.

These practices follow the old understanding that transformation cannot always be hurried, explained, or made comfortable. There are passages the body must be allowed to make in its own time.

Breath by breath.
Gesture by gesture.
Season by season.

Enter as you are.
Stay for a while.
Carry what remains.
